Why do people hate tokio hotel

Since February, I have found myself moderating their UK forum, helping run their UK street team, I also managed to meet them before their London gig, oh and leanring some German too. Oh my!

I am 22, they make me feel 13, in a slightly freaky way. Thankyou for your honest opinions it's always good to know what people really think. Tokio Hotel for me are not just a band but a community of people, through a love of them and their music I have become friends with some of the most amazing people.

Ever since I heard of Tokio Hotel two years ago they've been a drug I find hard to resist. I was one of the people who though frontman Bill was a girl. But, deep inside, I found out that I had a crush on him.

It was after Schrei came out, that I found out I found my crush. Wow, I sound Lame. This is a really well thought out review and there are many points I agree on.

Not least of all that the band's look is problem number one. But, that's also their biggest advantage.

For every man and woman that is left feeling uncomfortable by their attraction to Bill, another man or woman, girl or boy, is embracing Bill's androgeny and appreciating his beauty. I'm 27, and yeah I do feel a bit old to be fawning over a band who's average age is 18, but they bring out the teen in me and god knows we all need that at times.

The extreme polarised views on Tokio Hotel is what's going to continue to make them the most buzzed about band of the moment. The fans are crazy about them, the haters hate them with a passion - it works to their advantage - everyone wants to know what it is causing such a rumble. Why are they getting the attention that other European bands aren't? Well in my opinion the passion of the fans is what makes this band so much stronger. While they have great tunes and a striking look, their fanbase compliments this with their loyal and dedicated work to bring Tokio Hotel to the top of every poll and contest to receive all the exposure they can.

Loyalty and passion of that kind is infectious - and now it's spreading to the UK! BIll's old hair was more manly, but I think his hair now is hawt! Their image is just right to caputre peoples attention, you either love em' or you hate em' I would buy anything from them They totally rock my socks!

I watched Tokio Hotel once, on one of my cousin's t. Although thats probably very preppy to just base likeing someone by an image, I really adore their music. Listening to music from different countries, Is- I think - totally open minded, why listen to something just in english, when you can listen to something just as good in a different language. Also, make-up on a guy, Is way hott. Black eyeshadow and eyeliner. I don't really think they're the same as any other band, not just because they're German, but because I believe they're have some thing different.

First of all, its not they're all Only the twins are 17 and in a few days will turn 18 anyways.. Their music is catchy and they got some well-written lovely lyrics. So yeah, you could say that its not so special and might sound similar to other bands, but still, i think they do it better than anyone before. Main reason is, they are young indeed. They arent afraid of having their own style and being attacked by this from time to time.

Id recommend you to listen to the 2 Albums in German if you feel like discovering real Tokio Hotel music. The English thingy feels a little bit fake after all. Bill is beautiful and im now officially obsessed, as a member of the tokio hotel uk street team i must publicise the fact tokio hotel are amazing and buy their new uk single nooooowwww. XD Beware tho once u listen u will never look back and be addicted forever I like their music in German, in English I am still adjusting to some songs but this one they did well enough.

They lose some strength in translation as many people noticed and thats a shame. I am also a sucker for breaking of boundaries they brought together with some nice music French craze about learning German,Israeli effort of getting them to play there. They have matured also and continue to do so. When i first run into them I was all kinds of confused when in some videos they looked 12, in some Fortunately, this single and their latest album are big leap from that teeny feel they had 2 years ago.

Well done on a fantastic review of Tokio Hotel. I agree with most of your points I learned about them through my daughter who is 15 and I must say I was pretty surprised by their music. Here, in the belgian french part of the country we first got to know the german versions of their songs. Apart from Nena I really didn't like German songs that much before as I always felt the language had a 'hard' side to it. But Tokio Hotel surely made me change my mind about that.

The english versions of their songs are not that bad, after all it is extremely difficult to translate a song and give it the same sence and feeling as the original one. Ok, bill looks like a mixture between an elf, a manga and an attractive vampire but this look really does it. Boys feel ashamed because they found the girl of TH so sexy and girls are puzzled by his looks as well as by his attitude. Whether you like TH or not they all have a lot of talent, I just hope their management doesn't overkill them.

Fortunately for the UK fans they still can get to their concerts, here in Belgium the hype is making it pretty imposible to get tickets. Being 44, I certainly wouldn't fainth like most of their female fans if I would see them in concert but I would have spent at least a very good time listening to very good music. However, I don't understand what you mean by "there is definitely something creepy about the way their management market them"????

Doesn't make any sense to me. Tokio Hotel are the best in the World. You rude ol' people who don't like them and disses them should keep quiet cause you don't even know anything about them!

They are HUGE all over Europe and to tell you how Huge, girls battered each other and have even broken limbs about these guys. You didn't see anyone do that with the Beatles now did ya! I hardly know who they are, don't think they were around that long?! If anyone is going to reply to that get a life cause TH is way better! I am never a mean person but I always stick up for what's best! I was too confused about Bill's sexuality the first time I saw them with my sister on the music channel earlier this summer but I thought goodness what perfection!

TH forever and much love to their devoted fans, stacii oxoxoxox. I love Tokio Hotel! Oh yeah, Jamie, the lead singer is defo a guy, hes called Bill. So please dont cary on thinking hes hot ;. I am so glad people have heard of this band in the UK. I thought that they were great, they should definetly bring out some music here properly.

Unfortunately I discovered them on a German Exchange earlier in the year by my exchange partner and her brother telling me how rubbish they thought they were - so they seemed like the German version of McFly or something, i. My partners mum told me all the girls in Germany liked the band, so I guess they go for the confused sexuality look over there.

Ready, Set, Go! I first discovered them on a music channel in Italy this summer when their song monsoon started playing. Set , Go in english i really did love it. Thank you for that very intelligent review!! Here I heard that there was a band that people hate called Tokio Hotel and I vaguely new that the singer wears black eyeliner so I had to find out about them. I new that I would have my own opinion about them as I don't care what these German sheep think, having been away so long and liberated from the snobbish attitude!

And I found myself absolutely and utterly fascinated by Bill's voice, look the music and everything. And it makes me laugh so much that your reaction and that of lots of other ppl was the same as mine!!

To anyone who has read Harry Potter, Bill has the effect of a "Veela" and that is why we are all reacting to him and the band like that. I am proud and excited that a German band is finally being recognized worldwide, and by the way some Germans behave towards them I would go as far as saying that the Germans as a Nation do not deserve it!!

Thank you ppl in the UK for giving a German band the time of the day, these are exciting times!!!!! Thank you for such a fab review. Their music unlike anything here in England and i simply cant understand why there are so many 'Haterz' out there?

Their music is so beautifuly writtern, it would be amazing in any language on earth. I recently watched them perform live on YouTube and they sound fantastic, just like their english album. And 'Schrei' is not about not wanting to grow up, but about staying true to yourself and not letting other people dictate your life.

Of course they are very special and Bill is one of the bestlooking guys I've ever seen. Great styling, interesting voice - BUT they aren't that good that this review will tell us.

Question to "Frazer" : are you the same person who did the 30 Seconds to Mars review? Hard to believe B: It's FraSer. C: My ears are fine. I said the 30 Secs song has a brilliant chorus. That means it's GOOD. It is rather amazing how 'perfect' they are.

The makeup, the hair.. Absoloutly gorgeous!! Haha, sorry you had to see that.. And I love their songs.. All of them! Its true- theres not a single song on their album that I don't enjoy. Sure, there are some songs I like better, but none than I wouldn't like to hear!

This album is amazing! One thing I don't agree on- Bill hasn't completly mastered the 'english accent'. You can still hear the german in a few parts, and a few words are stressed at the wrong parts, but thats okay. I don't listen to lots of 'pop' or 'rock' musik, or enjoy it..

My favourite song would definetly be 'In Die Nacht'. I love the way Bill cares so much for Tom, it almost makes me wish my brother and I were that close. Certainly makes me wish Bill and myself were close.. Phoenix's independent source of local news and culture. Sound Off. Michael Lopez July 22, AM.

Perhaps it's not that evident for a casual observer, but this week is painfully slow for new music releases. It is my job to select one album that comes out every Tuesday and find some reviews of said album to post on Up On The Sun for my Review Roundup. Some weeks it's difficult to choose just one album to feature, other weeks it's difficult to find just one album. It's a great album, but I had to rely on Amazon. I usually shy away from using Amazon's list because it features albums from well-known artists -- ones signed to major record labels.

I'd rather dedicate a blog post to a smaller, lesser-known band, one that could use more publicity and word-of-mouth. You can call me indie if you'd like, I don't give a shit -- that's just how I see my Tuesday Review Roundup post. Well, somehow -- in highlighting what a slow week for new releases it was in my post about Rick Ross -- I managed to offend Tokio Hotel fans with one sentence.

This begs the question: "what the fuck, guys? First things first, let's look at what was said in the original post from this Tuesday:. That's not to say that anything good is being released today, but when Kidz Bop 18 and Tokio Hotel round out the top three for Amazon's new releases, it hardly constitutes a solid day for new music. All this Tokio Hotel hatred I apparently spewed in my original post drew the ire of multiple commenters wondering why I was trashing their favorite band.

Through towns. Through monsoons. Toward the edge of the world and beyond time, always but not necessarily forever. Amid this uncertain apocalypse stands Tokio Hotel's lead singer, Bill Kaulitz, with his boyish looks, girlish hips, and streaked, gravity-defying mane think Sonic the Hedgehog meets Nikki Sixx. Kaulitz is certain he can make it after all, which is exactly what his group has done.

Teenage Americans are rabid for these Teutonic brats. And the media can't get enough either. I'll admit there's something fascinating about the group, but the real reason I'm writing about them is simple: my boss told me to.

He's hoping to attract hordes of Googling teenage girls to the site.
