Injury sustained on Whirlwind! Visited theme park today and I'm afraid to say the Whirlwind ride should be closed down and condemned. I am accustomed to theme park rides but this goes beyond pleasure or enjoyment. I am 5'7'' and weigh 10 stone yet I was shaken around like a rag doll. The ride is 'suitable' for children over 1.
I feel so strongly about this that I intend to take it up with the HSE. I Visit many theme parks, stately homes castles etc with my family when I am home. My family and I were soooo grateful we gave what we saved to Help for Heros Will be back with more of my family soon. It is such a pity that more places do not follow your example. Simon E. Hi there! We take great pride running a business in an area where the brave men and women serve in the armed forces.
As such we really want to look after you all as best we can. We're chuffed to bits you had a good time. We hope to see you again in ! Kind Regards, Simon. Discriminates against autistic customers. I visited LightWater Valley and had a really horrible day.
Not only was all the best rides shut, they would shut rides down for no reason after queuing for ages. To make it even worse, when my Dad complained they were just mean to him. His has a special type of Autisim called Aspergers Syndrome, and they helped everyone else out except my dad as his autism makes him speak loudly. I think no one should go to Lightwater Valley until they review how they deal with disabled customers, it was really disappointing they offer no support if you have a mental disability or illness.
AdorablePug Alnwick, UK 1 contribution. Scary in the worst way possible. Went here during a family reunion holiday. Payed a good bit to come in, so thought we be getting high quality, how wrong were we.
The first ride we went on was some swinging chairs near the start of the park. It wasn't what we expected. The Ladybug ride broke down, as did Raptor Attack. My belt actually broke mid-ride and I was airborne for a few seconds.
The two pirate galleons weren't on, and the several mini games located around the park simply ate your money. Even the Ultimate broke down. Lunch was an incredibly expensive ordeal. The other rides were quite frankly boring or didn't work. At the end of the day before we left, we went to the Angry Birds park.
Our youngest climbed on one of the models and was told to come off. What are they doing then in a kids play park if they just meant to be decor. The only good thing about this place was that the staff well most of them were very kind and pleasant. Won't be coming here again as no matter what anyone says, if machines break down that often regardless of usages there's a major flaw in safety here. Hi There, Thank you for sharing your thoughts Peter. In the interests of fairness however, I do think your review is a little unfair.
As you can imagine, running a theme park requires the very best level of care and attention to detail with regards to health and safety. As such all our surfaces are regularly checked to make sure they meet high standards. As a larger chap myself, it can be frustrating when you cant get on certain rides. Most of the time you would not come up against this as an obstacle. When it comes to height measurements, we need to ensure that the requirements are met for safety.
This is why we measure everyone at the start of each ride, to make sure they are safe. If you have any more feedback, please feel free to drop me an email.
Id be happy to help resolve any issues you may have experienced. Kind Regards, Simon lightwatervalley. I remember going to Lightwater valley as a child and thinking it was incredible.
The Ultimate was the first roller coaster I ever went on and last year me and my boyfriend thought we would take a trip down memory lane and revisit the park.
